| | | | New CDs now Available! Anne-Elise Keefer has enjoyed a busy career as a recording artist, both as a soloist and chamber musician. She has released three solo flute CD's under her own label, Rising Phoenix Records: The River of Golden Dreams Vol. I & Vol. II and Far Other Worlds. CDs are now available for sale from the artist, or at any of these fine stores: | The River of Golden Dreams Vol.I (Released in June, 2005) Taking its title from the river of the same name at Whistler, B.C., this relaxing recording is a compilation of smoothly flowing short pieces for flute (and flute duet) with harp, piano or guitar accompaniment. Consisting of light classics, several limpid Celtic folk songs and four glorious operatic tunes, many selections are instantly recognizable favourites such as Delibe's "Flower Duet" and Satie's "Gymnopedie No.1". Although this volume contains some brilliant Spanish-influenced "allegro" movements, there are a handful of haunting Celtic tunes and the majority of the pieces are transcendentally lovely, quiet meditations. Featured Artists: - Anne-Elise Keefer - flute
- Jane Hayes - piano
- Michael Strutt - guitar
- Blanche Olivar - harp
| The River of Golden Dreams Vol. II (Released in June, 2005) Following the same format and instrumentation as Vol.I, this CD has several more Spanish and Latin-American dances woven into the predominantly calm and soothing selections surrounding them. Boasting the wildly popular "Canon" by J.Pachelbel in a new arrangement with both harp and guitar accompaniment, Vol. II again features beloved classics such as Gluck's "Minuet and Dance of the Blessed Spirits" and Rachmaninov's "Vocalise". Featured Artists: - Anne-Elise Keefer - flute
- Jane Hayes - piano
- Michael Strutt - guitar
- Blanche Olivar - harp

Paul Alexander- New Traditions Media Far Other Worlds "I listened to your recording with the greatest of pleasure- it is really beautiful playing, and the whole project shows such care in all the details. Congratulations. Love, Camille" Camille Churchfield, former Principal Flute, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra "One outstanding composition, among the many, is titled "Melodia de los Cantores"...Anne-Elise's performance on this track is magnificent. These compositions are not for the "faint of heart" especially if you play the flute. Anne-Elise's versatile and precise performance brings a human warmth to all of these complex and intricate compositions. Her flawless performance on all tracks is indicative of her professionalism and it is obvious to one's ears that a great deal of care and preparation has gone into this CD." Bobby Hales, President of Local 145, A.F.of M., Vancouver "Now in a quiet practice break, I am listening to the beautiful CD you gave to me last summer and wish to congratulate you on your wonderful playing and beauty of tone! A parent, Vancouver Academy of Music, Suzuki Flute Programme The River of Golden Dreams Vol.s I & II "Dear Anne-Elise, As I write this card, the music of "Golden Dreams" is lowering my blood pressure by the minute! I can only describe both albums as extraordinary. The repertoire is so well chosen for the programs. And, what can one say regarding your own playing and that of your colleagues? Words fail. The music speaks volumes! Suffice to say that these are magical collections.... The energy that you have devoted to every aspect of these recordings has resulted in the creation of musical gems. Again, my profound thanks for these gifts. I am deeply moved to have received them from you... and now quite relaxed...
